Robust Nonsingular Terminal Sliding Mode Control of a Buck Converter Feeding a Constant Power Load

In recent years, DC microgrid systems feeding constant power loads (CPLs) have been given a particular focus due to their effect on the overall system stability caused by electrical characteristics behaving as negative incremental impedance. To address this issue, paper investigates stabilization of bus voltage in (MG) CPL. The output main is stabilized using robust nonsingular terminal sliding mode controller that characterized elimination singularity problem arises from conventional controller. CPL emulated boost converter where its tightly regulated. investigated terms following and disturbance rejection. robustness effectiveness proposed control strategy are assessed against input fluctuations demand variations. validated through simulations an experimental setup.
